artist-book cut-out spots maps

In this book the artist repeatedly drew a red dot surrounded by concentric circles which refer to positioning, growth and density but also to raindrops and the patterns they leave on the surface of water. On other pages of the book she sketched maps in blue pen and combined them with video-stills. None of the pages have the same width; the viewer can open or close each page at their discretion. This format allows the viewer to experience different compositions as they browse through the book. The cut-outs on some of the pages play a crucial role in this changing play of patterns and give the book its three-dimensional character.
